The city of Slaton is located in the southeast corner of Lubbock County on the South Plains of Texas. Slaton is located 15 miles or 20 minutes from Lubbock, Texas. Slaton is approximately five miles from Crosby County, two miles from Lynn County and six miles from Garza County. U.S. Highway 84 serves Slaton as it leads through West Texas toward Northern New Mexico, and Southeast toward Dallas. Slaton is also served by F.M. 400, which provides a north to south route. BNSF Railroad is located in Slaton and our Regional Airpark is on of the busiest small aircraft airports in the area. Slaton is home to Manufacturing and industries, automoble dealerships, a regional shopping center and many agricultural related businesses.
