The Wolfforth Economic Development Corporation was established in September 2002, following the successful outcome of a 4B Sales Tax Election. Wolfforth EDC is funded entirely .005 sales tax and is governed by a seven member board, which is appointed by the Wolfforth City Council.

Wolfforth EDC believes that West Texas communities who work together have a stronger voice in economic and political arenas. To support that philosophy, WEDC is a member of the High Ground of Texas and Works cooperatively to market West Texas. The mission of Wolfforth EDC is to promote managed growth by recruiting quality business and family projects and developing and redeveloping community assets to make Wolfforth THE place to be.
