XIT Communications currently provides the latest in telecommunications services to the communities of Dalhart, Stratford, Hartley, Channing, Boys Ranch and Vega. We provide local and long distance phone service, high speed Internet services with download speeds of up to 20 MB and IPTV services that include High Definition TV, Digital Video Recorder and Video on Demand. XIT is locally owned and operated, and we have invested in the future of the small communities that we serve. We're the high-tech company with the hometown service.

XIT Wireless also brought wireless phone service to Dallam, Hartley, Moore, Sherman, Oldham and Deaf Smith counties in May of 1990. XIT invested in 42 wireless towers in its approximate 7500 square mile home-calling area to serve not only the towns, but also the rural remote areas.
In March 2011, XIT's wireless assets were acquired by AT&T.

XIT Rural Telephone Cooperative, Inc. has been providing rural telephone service to Dallam, Hartley and Sherman counties for the past 60 years. We are currently upgrading our rural service areas with state of the art fiber-to-the-home service. This multi-million dollar fiber-to-the-home project will enable XIT to provide the best technology even to the customer in the remote part of our service area.
